Microsoft Cell Phone: Pink Project

Entering the cellular business, Microsoft is preparing the new cell phone in their new project. Project Pink is the new project by Microsoft for developing this new cell phone. Some of the cell phone prototypes are already available in the internet.

The new cell phones in this Project Pink are two cell phone with touch screen and slide phone with also qwerty keypad. Turtle and Pure is the code name for the Microsoft cell phone. These two cell phone prototypes is the long awaited news from Microsoft since Google already collaborate with HTC for Google Android.

Microsoft cell phone will be produced by Sharp and using co-branding, just like Google and HTC. Microsoft has been working for years on this project. Microsoft itself had bought Sharp-affiliated product two years ago, a product called Sidekick, start to working on adjust their operating system -- Windows Mobile 7, to work perfectly in the cell phone. The acquisition of Danger, the maker of the Sidekick, in 2008 is marking the next step from Microsoft in their project. Sidekick it self is using Windows Mobile, but it is focused on teen market for social networks, instant messaging and other online services.

Turtle and Pure will be supported by their own App Store, that could be accessible at any time, and also Zune application features. According to Gizmodo, the turtle and pure cell phone devices won't be built by Microsoft itself and are unlikely to arrive before next year. Although Microsoft official refuses to comment about this report by Gizmodo.
